Come join us at Green Lake for our 25th annual Day of Remembrance event and help plant daffodil bulbs in honor of victims of gun violence. Following a short ceremony, Board members and volunteers plant hundreds of bulbs, which result in glorious Spring blooms! This year’s Day of Remembrance event will begin after our 5K run and walk on October 2nd.

Washington CeaseFire has been planting daffodil bulbs at Green Lake for 25 consecutive years as a way to commemorate victims of gun violence. Their Spring blooms beautify the park and remind us that despite the terrible toll of gun violence, we retain hope and optimism. Thanks to the Seattle Parks Department for helping us with planting, and to Sunnyside Nursery for donating the bulbs! The community is invited to celebrate the blossoming of these daffodils (date to be announced on our web site), which will join the thousands of daffodils Washington CeaseFire has planted around Green Lake over the years.
