Washington CeaseFire High School Internship
The increase firearm violence erupting on campuses nationwide makes it vital that the youth get involved in stopping this epidemic. Washington CeaseFire is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to reducing gun violence. Through research, education and community outreach and advocacy we hope to end the firearm violence epidemic.
Washington CeaseFire strives to engage the community in an effort to raise awareness and promote advocacy. Our High School internship works toward educating students and offering opportunities to be an activist.
This internship is a year-long position, and takes place primarily on your campus. Responsibilities include:
1. Participating in two community/outreach events
2. Research your school’s procedure and plans in case of an incident
3. Work towards creating a safer campus environment
4. Hold at least one on-campus event
5. Follow legislation in our state legislature
6. Create a collection of articles
