The Grant County Sheriff's Office is investigating the slaying of a Warden man who was shot to death in his car.
The shooting may be drug related, Undersheriff John Turley said.
Sheriff's deputies found Juan Carlos Lopez Estrada, 34, in the driver's seat of a 1996 Dodge Stratus after someone called 911 at 6:30 a.m. Saturday to report that all the car's doors were open and a man inside was not moving, Turley said.
The car was parked at the entrance to the Seep Lakes area, about 10 miles south of Moses Lake.
The car was impounded and the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab forensics team was called to help search it, the undersheriff said.
An autopsy is set for 10 a.m. today. Lopez was a cook at the Denny's restaurant in Moses Lake.
