"Police are still searching for a gunman who shot two people, killing the female driver, in a drive-by shooting in Tacoma.
The shooting happened around 10 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Portland Avenue East and East 56th Street.
Camille Love, 20, and her brother had left a family gathering when a man in a white Chrysler minivan pulled up next to them and shot them. Camille was killed; her brother was shot in the arm and is expected to recover.
Tacoma police say the shooting appears random. There was no confrontation or words exchanged. Police believe it might have been a bizarre road rage incident. The only motive they can find is perhaps the shooter didn't like the way the young woman was driving, so he killed her....
Police still haven't found the shooter. There were few witnesses, and the only description police have of the suspect is that he was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt.
The van was found abandoned and running about a mile from the scene. Police say it was reported stolen out of Auburn.
Police are very concerned the gunman has not yet been caught. They say if you saw any suspicious activity near East 56th Street and Portland Avenue East in Tacoma, please give them a call."
