Police are looking for information about the shooting of a pedestrian early Wednesday morning.
Shortly before 7 a.m., Jose E. Acevedo, 22, was walking along the 1000 block of South 10th Street when he was struck in the leg during a drive-by shooting.
Sunnyside Police said in a news release that the occupants of a van with tinted windows fired several shots toward Acevedo.
He was treated and released at a local hospital, the release said.
Acevedo has been known to associate with gang members, though he may not have been a member himself, police spokeswoman Charlotte Hinderlider said.
Investigators have not determined a motive for the shooting and did not have a description of the vehicle, Hinderlider said.
