Three people shot early Monday near a Seattle nightclub on First Avenue South are all expected to survive.
Seattle police said officers responded about 1:45 a.m. to numerous calls of shots fired behind the 1900 block of First Avenue South in the Sodo area. Dozens of cars and people were fleeing as the callers were talking to the 911 operators.
When officers arrived, witnesses pointed out two vehicles they said were possibly involved. Two people were arrested for warrants and weapons violations, but it appeared neither was involved in the shootings, said police.
Three victims showed up at Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. One man had been shot in the leg and groin, one man grazed on the neck and a woman shot in the jaw. All appear to be uninvolved bystanders and hadn't seen who shot them.
A number of casings from three different-caliber weapons were recovered from the intersection of South Walker Street and Occidental Avenue South. Police said windows to local businesses and parked cars were broken.
- Incident Type: Assault (or Homicide)
