A husband accused of shooting his wife and a man in a wheelchair after discovering her at the man's Pasco home pleaded innocent Tuesday in Franklin County Superior Court.
Saul Guzman-Liera, 22, is charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
On Jan. 19, Guzman-Liera reportedly became enraged when he found his wife at the home of Freddie Nunez, 34, of Pasco.
A struggle apparently caused Guzman-Liera to miss his intended target and accidentally shoot his wife, Isabel Pena, in the abdomen, according to court documents.
He then allegedly shot Nunez in the leg. Nunez and Pena were not seriously hurt.
Guzman-Liera's trial is set for March 24.
Pena and Nunez, who uses a wheelchair because he was paralyzed from the waist down in a 1995 shooting, both identified Guzman-Liera as the shooter, according to police.
