One dead in Sunnyside triple shooting

 SUNNYSIDE--One man is dead and a woman is at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after a late-night shooting.

Sunnyside Police responded to 809 Yakima Valley Highway at 10:45 p.m. Friday after reports of gunshots.  When officers arrived, they found three people had been shot.

An adult male was dead at the scene.  Yakima County Coroner Jack Hawkins said the man had not been identified as of Saturday morning; he was not carrying any identification.  Hawkins said the man is Hispanic and appears to be in his mid-twenties.

An adult female also had been shot several times; she is currently at Harborview Medical Center for treatment.  Her name and condition had not been released as of Sunday morning..  A third male victim was treated at a local hospital and released.

Sunnyside Police say they do not have much information, such as the victims' hometowns, at this point.  Washington State Patrol detectives and the WSP Crime Lab are aiding in the investigation.

"They have a little more experience in processing crime scenes," Det. Sgt. Jeff Cunningham, Sunnyside Police Department, said.  "Plus they the expertise on collecting evidence and processing it."

This is the eighth homicide in Yakima County in 2010.  It is the first murder in Sunnyside this year.
