Suspect in attack is found dead
A man wanted for pistol-whipping his ex-girlfriend Wednesday in Bellevue was found dead early Thursday morning in a van in the 1700 block of 112th Avenue Northeast.
Bellevue police say Jay Blake Williams died of an apparent suicide.

A Seattle police officer shot a suicidal man Friday morning after he threatened to kill himself while holding his 20-month-old son hostage inside his North Seattle apartment.
The man, 29, was taken to Harborview Medical Center with what was described as a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the face. The toddler was not harmed.

EVERETT -- A young man was hospitalized Tuesday evening after he reportedly shot himself at Sam's Gun Shop.
Deputies were called to the gun shop in the 11700 block of Airport Road about 7:20 p.m., Snohomish County sheriff's spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. The 19-year-old man was in one of the bays when the shooting occurred, she said.
Medics rushed him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. His condition was not known Wednesday afternoon.

GRAHAM, Pierce County — A 34-year-old man apparently shot and killed his five children in a mobile-home park in the Graham area of Pierce County, then drove to Auburn and killed himself, the Pierce County Sheriff's Office said Saturday.
Sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer called the crime scene the worst he has seen in his nine years with the sheriff's office.

Man kills self after shooting girlfriend

GRANGER -- A man shot his girlfriend at a Granger tavern, then turned the gun on himself at his home two blocks away in the early hours of Valentine's Day, police said Saturday.
Witnesses at the Circle Inn told police that Salvador Ramirez shot Eliva Antunez Roman in the head, then left the tavern.
She was 49. He was 64. Both lived in Granger.

The man, 45, rented a gun at Sam's Gun Shop and Range and entered one of the bays. He fired the gun a few times and then turned the gun on himself, Snohomish County sheriff's spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.

Mike Rummel, fired in 2005, kills himself after police pursuit
TOPPENISH -- A fired Yakima police officer who had gone through several years of legal battles in an attempt to regain his job shot himself to death Sunday afternoon after a police pursuit, authorities said.
Mike Rummel, 41, died at the scene on Campbell Road outside of Toppenish.

A man allowed his wife to leave their North End Tacoma apartment late Tuesday, then fatally shot himself, ending a three-hour standoff with officers, Tacoma police said Wednesday.
Officers entered the apartment on North 12th and Pearl streets and found the mortally wounded 42-year-old man. Paramedics were unable to revive him, police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.

BURLINGTON — The man who robbed a Leavenworth bank at gunpoint earlier this month died last week in Skagit County when he shot himself during a police pursuit after another bank robbery, the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
On Wednesday, employees of Cashmere Valley Bank on Wednesday were shown photos of 51-year-old William A. Chapman of Rockport, according to the news release.

EAST WENATCHEE — A 49-year-old East Wenatchee man shot and killed himself with a rifle in an apartment complex parking lot Wednesday afternoon, East Wenatchee police said.
Assistant Chief Dan Reierson declined to release the man's name, but said he was found at about 3:47 p.m. outside an SUV in the parking lot in the 1800 block of Aurora Avenue. The man did not live at the apartments, said Reierson, and only a single shot was fired.
