As we approach our 25th year of serving Washington Communities, we thought it was time to get back to our roots: research, education and advocacy. Our new website is designed to facilitate that goal. We hope that our new website will provide both our membership and the community at large with up-to-date information about firearm violence as well as suggestions for what we all can do to make our communities safer.

Firearm violence occurs in every corner of our state; it does not discriminate. It happens in our schools, our workplaces, and on our streets. It happens to people of all races and socio-economic brackets. It happens in the country, in the city and everywhere in-between. But firearm violence is not inevitable. We can prevent the 30,000 tragic firearms deaths that occur each year in the United States – we just need your help.

Now is the time -- you can make a difference. Reducing firearm violence means safer kids, safer families and safer communities. Learn the facts. Spread the word. Let’s make our communities violence free!
