Suspect in attack is found dead

A man wanted for pistol-whipping his ex-girlfriend Wednesday in Bellevue was found dead early Thursday morning in a van in the 1700 block of 112th Avenue Northeast.

Bellevue police say Jay Blake Williams died of an apparent suicide.

"Johnson was shot shortly before 1 a.m. as he was taking inventory of the contents of a vehicle before it was to be towed. The driver had been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, and was being driven by another state trooper to a police station for investigation.

 Seattle police said the two were drinking alcohol in a garage at the teen's residence on the 8000 block of 28th Avenue NW a little after midnight when, for reasons unknown at this point, the boy brought out a .25 caliber semi-automatic pistol.  He then shot his friend in the leg.

Seattle Police are investigating an apparent drive-by shooting in the 800 block of 29th Avenue South around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.
A victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with a gunshot wound in his thigh. The injuries are not life-threatening, said Seattle Police spokeswoman Renee Witt.
